Announcement

We have a tooth! Asya does, that is. Her first tooth has just broken through, and I wouldn't be surprised if there are more right behind it. She's her usual happy self, though.

Funny update: Some of the babushki have been fussing, because Asya didn't have any teeth yet. Along the lines of their fears that I don't feed her enough, they have been worried that she's not getting enough calcium, hence the late teething. Never mind that all our babies teethe around this age; they were calcium deficient too, don't you know? Anyway, one sweet lady showed up yesterday to feed our children dairy products. They thoroughly enjoyed that, of course. Then, today at church when I showed her Asya's new tooth, she responded with, "See? I told you that she needed calcium!"

Once again Asya's amazingly sweet temperament shows itself. What a blessing for all of you that she has endured the discomfort this milestone brings with such tranquility!

Much love....

Enoch has 5 teeth, already, but he's my earliest teether. My girls didn't get any until 9 mo. My friend's baby is almost a year and hasn't popped one through yet!
I remember living in Israel with Russian immigrants I was told all the time that going barefoot would give me the "grippe" (not sure) and that sitting on a hard or cold floor would make me less fertile. I drove them crazy (not purposely)!

Hopefully you wanted her to have dairy now, right?
Ah, yes, I was told I would get bladder and yeast infections from not wearing tights/ leggings in the winter. Sitting on concrete will get a panicked response, I found and I think my MIL and FIL gave up on me about feeding babies!
