Last week and this week

Last week seemed a little rough. A bit of sickness went from Bogdan, to Asya, to Jaan, to me. Will traveled to Kiev to reapply for a social security number for Bogdan. On his way back, he couldn't get a ticket to Zaporozhya, so he went to Dnepropetrovsk. His train arrived right around the time that four bombs went off there. (God protected him, and he didn't even know that anything had happened until later, but it was still very scary.)

This week is looking better. We're heading out to our dacha! Actually we had planned to go yesterday, but someone was needing a place to stay, so we had let him spend a few nights there. Today he found somewhere else, so we're going for a few days ourselves. Of course, you won't be hearing any more from us until we get back....

Oh, other good news is that God provided a vehicle for us to use during our trip to the states in June!

Any chance you all will be passing through the Washington DC area when you are back in the States?!?

Hi! Again, so thankful that God protected Will! And, also very grateful for His provision of a vehicle!! Do you want me to work on getting carseats? Love y'all!

Nathan, not likely, but if I recall correctly, DC is 'only' about an 8-hr drive from Charlotte... we'd be glad to see you. =)

Mom,
we'll be in touch w/the folks that are loaning us the car... if they're used to meeting missionary families at the airport w/the car ready to use, I'm thinking they'll have car seats. I'll let you know. Thanks!

There's a good chance that we'll be flying through DC! If we have a bit of a layover, maybe we really could see you, Nathan. I'll let you know....

We can't wait to see you all! If a day at the beach is on the agenda, don't worry about sunscreen, buckets, shovels, boogie boards (maybe surfboards for the older ones)or towels. We will make sure to have all on hand, including strong sunblock for sensitive (baby)skin and a surfing instructor (Uncle Steve). I went to the beach today just to make sure it is ready and lo and behold - it is!
