Kansas postcards

Could the family who sent us three postcards from Kansas please email me (mayakovsky@willphyl.com) your mailing address? We want to send a thank you!

The Postcard Project is coming along beautifully! If we haven't answered you yet, I'm sorry. We will. We're just moving slowly. We have been so busy lately that the incoming postcards have just been added to the pile. When we're home we have a wonderful time working through that pile, but we only do one or two at a time. Each postcard "lesson" involves reading the postcard, finding the state on our map and coloring it in, hanging the postcard, discussing the state and the card, and putting together an answer for the sender. Such fun!

(Pictures from recent busyness coming later. There's a lot to sort through!)

Phyllis, We are about to start a postcard project, too!!!!! How fun! And thank you for the map link. I was still trying to figure out how to keep track, publically, of the ones we'd received. How perfect!!!

I wish I could send a postcard! But it looks like you already have California. If I do any traveling this year I'll check your map to see if Jaan's in need of the state where I'm going. I wish I'd been able to do this when I was in school- it looks like so much fun!

I love seeing the updated map online. You must have gotten our Hawaii card (I was worried about the postage). Hooray!

I love this project. When R.B. was entering 3rd grade his teacher sent a blank map and you were supposed to find license plates from the 50 states during the summer and color them in. It was fun and made car trips much more interesting. When school started each student shared their maps and shared how they had found Hawaii and/or Alaska since they were hard. The Lompoc card added to my excitement of my upcoming trip to California! Love, Aunt Lindy
