Tickets

We’ll be flying out on the 9th. Please pray for us as we travel! We’ll all be together until New York, and an extra bonus is that our friend Julie will be with us. After that we’ll split up. Will has to go to North Carolina first, then he’ll join us in Florida. For that last flight I’ll be by myself with the children, so really pray (for our fellow-travelers! ). By the time we get on that flight we will already have been going for more than 24 hours.

I’ll give more details about our plans when we get there. . . .

Jaan keeps telling people that his Papa is going to be a driver in America. I wonder if he’ll be surprised to learn that most people in America can drive? He was appalled when I told him that there aren’t many buses there and no trolleybuses at all (at least not in the cities we’ll be visiting).

Already counting the days until we see your precious faces...and continuing in prayer as you face these final days and the ordeal of travel...loving you much!

Yes! I'm so sorry for the reason we'll be seeing you, but we, too, are counting the days... Praying for you all as you face these final days of saying goodbye, the difficulties of travel and not feeling exactly up to par, as well! Much Love, Julie/Baba/Mom

Actually, we do have trolley buses here. They're uptown and in the SouthEnd, though. We also have lightrail now, which looks like a super duper souped up train. I'll have to be sure to take him on that. I love his pride in his Papa's driving, but perhaps he will change his mind once he rides in a car driven by his papa. At the very least, it will be thrilling. =-)

How precious Jaan is! :) Makes me laugh! We'll be PRAYING for you during your whole travels! I wish this was just a 'vacation' for you but we're resting in the Lord's decision and assuming its for a more meaningful ministry ahead!
Thank you for keeping us posted when I'm sure your life is up to your earlobes in boxes and such!
much love!!!

ok- I was re-reading that first post and hope you understand when I say 'more meaningful' I mean somewhere the Lord has specific goals for just you! It sounds so bla-zay and rude if you read it like I wrote it! sorry :)

Wow, talk about culture shock for little Jaan...I can't believer you're leaving...I am really, really going to miss your post about life in Russia. I am feeling so sad for you that I can't imagine what your goodbyes feel like. I pray you will return someday, I believe you will! I am excited for your parents to see you again and for them to have the joy of their precious grandchildren- every cloud has a silver lining!!

Praying for your safe and easy travels. Be sure to ask for help from the airlines when you are on your own.

(((hugs))) dear Phyllis- may your days be cheerful and bright! God be with you all!

Hi Phyllis,

This is Leana Fuller (Evelina's friend) writing. I am a rare visitor here, but am too enjoying your stories when I get a chance to drop by. Sorry to hear about your leave. I was always impressed by your love and commitment for Russia and its people. No doubt that God has a plan for you guys, it's just a matter of time now. Have a safe flight and may your trip be easy and smooth. I can only imagine the excitement and anticipation grandparents are having right now of seeing their grandkids so soon.

S Bogom!

I am going to miss hearing about life in Russia too. But please keep us updated while you are in FL and NC. Praying for a smooth trip for you, especially when it's just you with the little ones.

Mike and I continue to pray for you all and your next leg in the journey of life here on earth. Lord willing, our paths will cross this spring sometime so we can love on your babes! You all are more than welcome to come over here to the mountains of NC for a stay anytime. The children's Aunt Abbey used to love to play in our creek when she was a little girl.
