(...чи Хансакеры в Херсоне?)Stories and photos from the daily life of "the Russian Hunsuckers". . . in Ukraine!
I have a picture of R.B. at about this age that is remarkably similar. He always loved working in the garden and still enjoys it even though he won't eat the vegetables. We can't grow cheese or he'd be really happy.Enjoy the warmth, Love, Aunt Lindy
Phyllis--Do you remember the photo of you taken the spring we put in our first garden? The resemblance is striking.Much love to each one....
Hi, Phyllis! We are just now getting our garden completely in! Bernie planted almost all the rows yesterday! May 26th!! Latest garden ever! It has either been too cold or raining before now. Anyway, he's using a new technique! He does the whole garden "raised bed" (as Will did in a smaller fashion). Now, he is grouping the rows - "wide row" planting. He has three long rows, close together, in the middle and two long rows, close together on either side. He got a gardening book from an antique store and is trying this method. The man says it yields more in a smaller space. This particular man even suggests a 12 x 12 plot of plants!! Just put them in there tight!! Anyway, we'll see how this works!! Love to all!
