Birthday fun

It's pretty special when a 4-year-old's birthday dream is to spend the day with us. Our hearts kind of melted when we heard that's what Myroslava wanted. (She's the middle girl in the family that stayed with us recently. Her mother is Anya, who we know from Kherson.) We celebrated on a Sunday after church. The night before Asya and Bogdan went to to make decorations. Then on the big day, Will and I prepared dinner while the birthday girl visited a petting zoo with her parents, sisters, grandmother, uncle, Bogdan, and Asya. Later Anya said that maybe she should have asked the grandmother to help with food, but I was glad that she could just go and enjoy the grandchildren and animals. Then they came here to play and eat. My photos might show a little of the busyness and chaos of celebrating? It was all so fun!
