At least he's not going to be too far away, but we'll miss having him right here in our building. Will saw they were moving out and went over to say goodbye. Kolya again promised to stay in touch, and even gave Will one of his icons of St. Nikolai.

That's a lovely picture Will! It is good to see such a friendship. You and Phyllis continue to inspire me. I know it is not easy and you make it look so easy with the love you have for the people of Russia.

I was thinking the same thing as babajulie about Will looking as Russian as Kolya! That is supposed to be a compliment in case you might think otherwise. ;-) Kolya's gift was definitely honoring the special relationship you had with him! We will continue to pray...
That's Will, my Russian brother. While I was on the train from Perm to Kovrov this summer, one lady was having a hard time understanding my connection...."Your brother lives here? So, he's Russian and you're American. Was he adopted?"

Bwahahahah! That's pretty funny!
Orthodox converts over here have a similar situation. I hear all time people going to their local Orthodox church and being questioned if the are Greek or Russian or Serbian , or Romanian etc.. and when the answer is no to they are questioned what they are doing here? Just plain old America? Yep!
