Good Friday

Last night we blew out the last candle, placed a figure of Jesus in a tomb, and got ready for bed in the dark. Now we wait....

(Our Easter garden looks a little sparse this year. Maybe it will grow more beautiful throughout the Easter season.)

What depth of understanding you are providing for your children! Without the darkness, we cannot appreciate the light. Waiting with you...

I attended a Maundy Thursday service with a friend this year. I had never experienced that before. Very sobering and meaningful. I very much appreciated the putting out of the lights with the idea of the Light of the World being extinguished. But, today, HE IS RISEN!!

What a wonderful way of teaching the children about Christ. I had forgotten all about these traditions after I moved to the US. I will have to incorporate them next year. Here you get so busy with easter eggs that you forget the real meaning of easter.
Thank you for sharing this.
