Fun in the pool

Jaan and Raia at church
Originally uploaded by fylliska.

You can always tell that our church meets right in the middle of nap time. Yesterday Jaan and Raia had a nice rest on the floor behind our seats. Their little friend, Mark, was stretched out across two chairs on the other side of the room, with his grandmother's purse under his head for a pillow. Will's preaching didn't put anyone else to sleep, though.

(Grandma and Grandpa Burton, he's wearing the new shirt from you. Thank you so much!)

Yesterday, last night, and today Raia has not been her usual happy self. Please pray for strength for us and comfort for her. Nothing is wrong; she's just a little fussy, but it does get to be tiring. It seems that I remember Jaan had a little fussy stage at about this age, too.

I LOVE the pool picture and think he looks just like YOU!! (Isn't it funny how you can see either parent, depending on the picture?) And, the church picture!! I wish my children had done that well!! We will be praying for Raia's fussiness to be over soon! Bernie says to tell you that the faithful grandfathers are out here, too!! Love to All!

Even if I weren't viewing this as the grandmother, that pool photo would be a winner in composition and use of color, but I do look through a grandmother's eyes and see the precious grandson.

Looking at the church photo, I realize having church at naptime may be a good thing because you can participate in the service. Thank you for continuing to share photos of daily life.

We love each of you so much--Mom

Yes, Julie, if you had wanted your children to be that good in church, you should have moved the service to mid-afternoon! :-)

And, I'm afraid I would be taking a nap, as well! (: Thank you for the daily updates. It does feel like we get to visit with you all a little everyday! Much Love!
