The boat

I have been having so much fun watching Jaan and Raia play lately! Their favorite toy for the past week or so has been a big "boat."

The Mayflower

Right around Thanksgiving it was a boat for the Pilgrims and Indians. (Yes, we know there weren't Indians on the Mayflower. This is pretend!) Then we looked through our friend Jenna's photos from her summer in Africa. One photo there really inspired them, and the game changed.

Okay, these kids are going to be completely confused!!! (: Either the Pilgrims and the Indians made their way to Africa with a canoe and long pole or the Pilgrims came to America, picked up the Indians and made their way to Africa!! Hey! Revisionist History!!! (: (Cute pictures and adorable children, of course!!)(: Love you all! Baba Julie

How delightful! Before you posted I had checked the blog and was just passing by again on my way out of cyberspace when I found this enjoyable series of photos. I do hope Jenna checks your blog often!

It brings me great joy to see the imaginative play; IMHO that is the work of childhood.

Much love to each precious one....

There is nothing better than a big box or container to inspire children. Pretty soon it will be filled with animals and become and ark! You are in my thoughts.
